Technical Flooring Sales Consultant

Manufacturer of industrial epoxy and polyurethane flooring, construction related products and corrosion protection systems seeks a Sales Consultant for their flooring products. Based in Cape Town.

For the position you would be required to have:

• Diploma in Civil or Chemical Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 5 years' sales experience into the Construction industry

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Deliver sales revenue based on regional sales target and personal sales target.
• Accountable for own, creation of new, and maintenance of existing area customer relationships. 
• Maximize market advantage through a strong focus on the contractor market sector
• Offer technical expertise and advice to the market
• Ensuring the effective communication of value propositions in relation to the total company offering, both internally and externally.
• Responsible to train customer base
• Build sustainable relationships to maximize market advantage. 
• Maintain the target closure rate as established by management
• Provide a monthly forecast to the relevant person on tracked projects. 
• Ensure follow through and finalization from specification to order.
• Proactively identify new opportunities for enhanced product offerings, by uncovering and understanding these through the application of trained techniques, supply chain knowledge, commercial awareness and in-depth knowledge of market and customer requirements. 
• Analyze and assess customer product mix to show value add to the customer 
• Adherence to strict ethical codes of conduct and maintenance of confidentiality at all times. 
• Manage product performance issues in line with company guidelines 
• Meet required monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets as set and agreed upon.
