SUMMARY:
The purpose of this role is to manage the full technical facilities component by ensuring that operations runs smoothly, efficiently and effectively while also ensuring that the working environment is safe and without risk.
The purpose of this role is also to manage service providers, compile budgets, schedule maintenance and preventative maintenance

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Management of employees and service providers
- Manage all service providers and set up weekly, monthly and annual meetings with such on junior, senior, area managers and executive level.
- Communicate effectively with the team and the Client
- Communicate with the Client daily on any major issues or any potential risks
- Delegate and allocate responsibilities effectively through  Facilities help desk.
- Provide on going training and development as well as identify staff for growth opportunities.
- Work hand in hand with service providers, contractors, and sub-contractors to comply
- Fully understand the OHSA and execute it daily within the working environment
- Ensure the team follows the correct procedures, policies, work ethics and protocols
- To be proactive and make informed decisions in a timely manner
Operations and Maintenance
- Ensure the full electrical spectrum to COC compliance, and mechanical HVAC
- OSHA/Compliances, 16.2 appointment responsibilities
air conditioning and ventilation
- Maintenance of lifts, escalators, generators, switchgear
fire alarm, building fire reticulation systems and fire drills, water/pump and water reticulation systems, sump and sewer systems as well as waterproofing through My Buildings.

Construction, renovations, and alterations
- Manage all building alterations, constructions, as well as any building renovations
- Ensured that the building fully complies with all by-laws and any authorities compliance
- Ensure that the building is a safe and risk-free environment

Budgeting
- Obtain relevant information and make budget predictions
- compile Budgets and a 5year Life Cycle budget plan.

Qualifications
- Matric (Must)
- Ndip or degree in related field (added advantage)
- Red Seal Electrical certificate issued by Department of Labour.

Experience
- 5-8 years’ working in the building management environment structure
- Must have a strong electrical background
- Experience working with Low or High Voltage Maintenance preferred

Skills
- Strong Proficiency in relevant computer packages (MS Office) and software packages
- Excellent attention to detail and numerate accuracy
- Strong Proficiency in skills training and knowledge in the building environment, first aid, OHSA, facilities management, firefighting and HVAC
