SUMMARY:

An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking the above to support the product development pipeline, ensuring continuity in the provision of technical support to internal and external clients by assisting the Technical and Product Development Manager on the successful execution of all development work and provision of technical support, training and materials to the business and clients.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Entomology or Equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ Regulatory Affairs experience will be required
  • Must be computer literate with good management, administration and presentation skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with personal drive, results orientation, responsibility and reliability are important
  • Must be willing to work longer hours during peak season of trial work


The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating and driving the numerous field and laboratory based product development trials in SSA and RSA, that will ensure the successful implementation and completion of these trials through effectively management of all administrative aspects and regular liaison with collaborators.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of scientific study protocols that will ensure that the data generated will conform to the relevant legislation and standards by critically reviewing and evaluating all protocol prior to the implementation of the studies.
  • Ensuring that trial information, progress indicators and results are readily available to inform the relevant brand stakeholders through the maintenance of detailed and up to date trial trackers, databases and project reports.
  • Supporting the Technical and Development Manager on providing critical inputs to the Regulatory Manager (towards product registrations) and Brand Office Managers (towards marketing) through the analysis and interpretation of trial results and preparation of reports.
  • Contributing to the development and periodical revision of technical documents and training materials to support the sales and marketing teams by researching, collating information and writing on relevant topics.
  • Providing technical advisory services to customers and other stakeholders on product, and importance of safety, storage and safe disposal of empty containers.
  • Identifying suitable demo sites and compiling the trial data with trial consultants when needed.
  • Coordinating product training, including customer exposure to demo trials.
  • Ensuring close liaison between demo and development trials to ensure maximum value gain.
  • Assisting with providing technical support to the Regulatory team and Sales and Marketing Team with required data.
  • Assisting with preparing labels for registration purposes and ensuring that all labels are technically correct.
  • Ensuring that all promotional literature is technically correct.
  • Attending meetings with the regulatory authority and industry.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
