POSITION INFO:

Technical Consultant – West Rand

A leading supplier in the Electronic Security Industry, consisting of complete solution implementation on end-user sites for CCTV, Access Control, Alarms and Perimeter protection and detection (including Electric Fences, Gate Motors and Intercoms), requires the services of a Technical Consultant ASAP.

Preference will be given to candidates with previous electronic security experience.

Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12)
Valid driver’s licence
Computer literate (MS Office) Pastel & CRM
High Level of communication skills (oral and written in at least English)

Responsibilities & Skills

• The Sales Technician will be the primary technical resource for the Tier 2&3 sales team at the branch. Responsible for actively driving and managing the technology part of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for all products.

1. Technical Repairs (limited – basically go/no go testing, replacement of fuses and basic repairs etc. larger repairs to be send to SCW HQ repair shop or suppliers)
2. Technical Telephonic, Counter and Site Support
3. Counter and telephonic sales, backing up Sales Staff when required
4. Basic quotes on Pastel, know the pricelists and all matrix templates.
5. Profiling data base form DMS list.
6. Training of Branch Staff (products and solutions)
7. Training the branch installers on products and solutions as required
8. Prepare and maintain Technical support area at the branch
9. Support internal systems on a 1st Line bases (PC’s/printers and internal network, alarm and demo boards/equipment etc.)
10. Submit weekly status report on internal systems.
11. Submit monthly status report on repairs and site visits.
12. Stocktaking and Stock picking
13. Book stock in/out.
14. Send, receive, collect and deliver stock

Salary: Basic of R14 000 to R18 000 (based on experience)
