Retrenched and available immediately within the mining industry. Then my client is for you. Join a Reputable company based in cape town looking for a Technical Buyer for a 3 months contract role.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications

• Qualified artisan (or similar) with relevant experience within the mining or marine environment
• Diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management - advantageous

Experience

• 3 – 5 years technical experience in a Marine and/or Mining environment (mandatory)
• 3 – 5 years procurement experience in a Marine and/or Mining environment - advantageous

knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of SAP
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Negotiating and networking skills
• Basic knowledge of Customs
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Good inter-personal skills
• Ability to analyse and interpret information
• Strong governance
• Customer & service orientation
• Detail orientation
• Commercial acumen
• Strong technical acumen
• Commodity knowledge
• Strong Supply Chain administration skills
