ROLE: Technical Business Analyst
PURPOSE:
The Technical Business Analyst role would focus on the analysis and prioritization of user requirements, overseeing system upgrades, and managing customer impact. In this role, you should be highly analytical and able to work with key stakeholders in a fast paced, complex and high-pressured environment. To be successful in the role, on a daily basis, the analyst must make use of excellent communication skills, be a quick study, interpret and translated complex concepts into requirements, manage stakeholder, be adaptable and utilize key problem-solving abilities. POSITION INFO:
The Technical Business Analyst is typically an IT professional responsible for detailed product and system analysis of Business asks, as presented by the Product Management Team, with the view to deconstructing said asks into User Stories for delivery by an Agile delivery team. During evaluation, the analyst will match and prioritize the features and functionality of the product, in collaboration with the Product Team, to delivery maximum value and meet to the Organisation's Objectives. Other duties include scheduling and leading meetings to identify product issues, assist with the execution of the roadmap on a quarterly basis and assisting with iterative and daily traction, to achieve Business outcomes.

Responsibilities include:
- Understanding business and technology needs to meet the key deliverables of the organization
- Perform detailed analysis on business and technical requirements and assist in the implementation of complex and resilient FX Trading platform solutions
- Work with the Engineering and the UX Design Team to deliver world class solutions in South Africa and the Rest of Africa
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and hold workshops where necessary - within the digital product team as well as external clients
- Customer facing engagement - Gather and formulate feedback from internal and external clients about system features, performance and drive out new requirements and improvements
- Assist with Customer Application Support - Engage L1 & L2 Support, internal & external application users, clients, and vendors iro on issues and drive issue resolution
- Engage and communicate with stakeholders on a regular basis to assess and understand their business requirements
- Develop and analyse functional requirements while applying agile principles and practices
- Be comfortable with documenting new and existing requirements using online tooling (Confluence) and writing user stories (Azure)
- Proficient in diagramming and documenting process flows using UML or BMPN etc.
- Work with the agile delivery team, technical leads and product management team to build and implement world class technology solutions
- Provide technical and product training as required to the operational and customer facing support teams
- Keep abreast of latest technology trends and developments
- Change management and Service delivery - Be present in application releases, to ensure change and service delivery protocols are fulfilled (potentially multiple times a week and ad-hoc as required)
Areas of Accountability include:
- Develop a deep understanding of the value proposition, end-to-end customer experience, integration points and critical dependencies.
- Solve product-related problems, collaborate with the Product Owner to make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments
- Extract and retrieve information and data sets to be used in defining requirements and improving the system
- Evolve the Product model into user stories, in collaboration with Product Management, Technical and Delivery Leads
- Facilitate User story delivery prioritization with Product Management, to set the delivery team up for success and ensure delivery outputs focus on maximizing value that is aligned with the product and overall organizational strategy
- Identify and help the internal and external clients understand the value proposition
- Execute on analysis for required and prioritized user stories
- Develop appropriately detailed product documentation and artefacts for the product features, so that they are clearly understood by the delivery team(s)
- Bridges the gap between stakeholders, business and the delivery team
- Display a tangible understanding of Agile principles and practices iro Product Delivery
