POSITION INFO:

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

The purpose of this post is to provide technical support to the staff and students of the Fashion and Textile division of the Visual Arts Department and to prep and maintain machinery specific to the teaching of Fashion and Textiles.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
To coordinate overall effective and quality control production room duties To support the lecturers and students at all levels of study by way of maintenance, repair and servicing of machines specific to the teaching of Fashion and Textiles such sewing machines, over-lockers, irons etc.
CORE COMPETENCIES
Communication skills Decision making Health and safety training Industry awareness
REQUIREMENTS
A sound knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repairs of specialized industrial machinery specific to the Fashion and Textiles Matric Qualification
