POSITION INFO:

Job Requirements

Qualifications (Essential)

• Matric
• Minimum of 2 year in the WISP industry
• Computer literacy/COMPTIA (MS Office)
• Electrical circuits 101 AC/DC/Solar
• RF/Microwave Basics
• Structured cabling
• Valid driver’s license due to extensive travel & remote work
• Fibre optic reticulation

Experience (Essential):

• Microwave/Wi-Fi technology
• High sites Construction and Maintenance
• Working on masts

Knowledge areas:

• Understanding of microwave systems
• Must be capable in setup of routers and AP’s (Wi-Fi-LAN)
• Must be capable in setup of wireless links
• Must be capable in setup of VOIP phones
• Wide understanding of AC and DC electrical circuits

Skills (Essential):

• Practical
• Must be technically inclined and very hands-on
• Working with power tools and hand tools
• The effective execution of tasks related to implementing network infrastructure and services and its ongoing maintenance. This includes undertaking works in all provinces on company’s national footprint
• The role requires work to be performed during business and non-business hours as required due to the nature of the scheduled and unscheduled works required by company as a 24/7/365
