SUMMARY:

An established agricultural company, specialising in fertiliser and animal nutrition requires an energetic and self-motivated Administrative Assistant to assist Management with administrative tasks, ensuring efficiency within the company and compliance to company policies.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have completed a Grade 12
A tertiary qualification will be an added advantage
Must have previous reception/PA/administrative experience
Good administration and organisational skills are essential
Must have excellent communication and people skills
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be ideal
Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Performing general administrative functions such as preparing and maintaining files.
Assisting in the reception area.
Assisting with basic inventory control.
Receiving and capturing customer orders.
Capturing supplier invoices.
Reconciling supplier accounts for month end payments.
Preparing client quotes and invoices.
Following up on orders and payments.
Managing diaries and meetings for managers.
Performing general PA functions.
Maintaining an organised filing and administrative system.
Attending to customer/supplier queries.
Reviewing draft and finished documents for appropriate completion.
Gathering, collecting, recording, tracking and verifying data and information from multiple sources.
Using software applicable to the site, to compile and generate reports, correspondence and presentations.
Ensuring good housekeeping and compliance to company policies at all times.

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience
