JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking an experienced Technical Application Lead to join one of the Top banks in SA on a contract / project, reporting to the Service Monitoring Shift Manager.

Job functions;

Supporting the Service monitoring division on high level technical and subject matters: MVS, HSM, Remedy and many more

Attend to the escalation of technical matters

Provide accurate documentation in line with the document control processes

Involved with the implementation of new systems and upgrades of existing systems

Drive continuous improvement for incident recoveries in business units

Risk management

Route cause analysis

During project roll outs, provide accurate and detailed interpretations

Work within SLA's

Reduce outages of bank systems

Monitor bank networks, infrastructure and processing systems

Responsible for interacting with users regarding their mobile application

Batch processing

Attend to emergency data restores

Report writing

Assess critical events and the impact thereof

Perform technical investigations

Must have:

Valid Matric

Relevant diploma - IT & Computer Sciences

No less than 4 years' working experience within a Technical Applications role, banking sector experience

Job flow experience, bridge monitoring tools exposure, JCL, mainframe and systems operations

Proper understanding of online processing, automated batches and operational processing

Understanding of SLA's
