A market leader in the insurance industry seeks an experienced and technically strong Insurance Accounting Manager to join their finance team based in Centurion.

*Please note the team is working on a hybrid working model and a reliable internet connection and office setup is required for the successful incumbent.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Preparation and processing of monthly underwriting accounts

Reporting of monthly underwriting results

Reconciliation of underwriting accounts

Overall responsibility of all general ledgers

Preparation of underwriting budgets and forecasts

Management of technical accounts department

Management of the Internal and External audit

Education:

Relevant finance qualification

Skills & Experience:

4 to 5 years' experience in a technical / operational role within the insurance industry is non-negotiable

Management experience is non-negotiable

Experience in insurance and reinsurance reporting

Strong on reconciliations

SAP experience advantageous

Understanding of IFRS17 advantageous

Sound knowledge and understanding of related financial legislation and processes

Financial acumen

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Team player
