Tax Accountant (Bedfordview)

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Tax Accountant to join a well-established company that specializes in financial and accounting turn-key services and solutions for Medical Practitioners. Their services include Accounting, Tax, Asset Management, Financial Planning, Short Term Insurance and Medical Billing services.

POSITION INFO:

Duties include:

• Accounting Degree completed or in final year of studies
• Registered with a SARS controlling body as a Tax Practitioner for example SAIBA, SAIPA, SAIT or IAC
• For this position, previous or current working experience on Pastel, is essential.
• At least 3 years’ experience in an auditing / accounting environment
• Manage full function of client portfolio
• Monthly management reports
• Accounts to financial statements
• Drafting of annual financial statements for companies, trusts and sole proprietors
• Providing tax advice to clients (their client base is medical doctors)
• Must have experience on eFiling
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Neat, presentable and professional individual
• Prepare and submit income tax, provisional tax and VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies and trusts
• Attend to all SARS correspondence
• Filing of Notices of Objections
• Involved in the development and growth of new clients  
• Own reliable transport
• Travel to clients (20% of the function / 80 % is desk bound)
