Tax Accountant

SUMMARY:
An exciting job opportunity available on the East Rand for a Tax Accountant at a fantastic organization

POSITION INFO:

• Accounting Degree completed or at least in final year of studies OR 1 year Accounting Diploma completed
• Individual must be registered with a SARS controlling body as a Tax Practitioner for example SAIBA, SAIPA, SAIT or IAC
• For this position, previous or current working experience on Pastel, is essential.
• At least 3 years’ experience in an auditing / accounting environment (as per the Tax Questionnaire attached)
• Manage full function of client portfolio
• Monthly management reports
• Accounts to financial statements
• Drafting of annual financial statements for companies, trusts and sole proprietors
• Providing tax advice to clients (their client base is medical doctors)
• Must have experience on eFiling
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Neat, presentable and professional individual
• Prepare and submit income tax, provisional tax and VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies and trusts
• Attend to all SARS correspondence
• Filing of Notices of Objections
• Involved in the development and growth of new clients  
• Own reliable transport

Travel to clients (50% of the function is seeing clients and 50 % is desk bound) – due to COVID, currently all client meetings are on Zoom
