Tail Stretcher

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Olifantsfontein, requires an experienced tail stretcher to straighten (and sometimes adjust shape) the extrusion profile by stretching. 2 -3 years’ aluminium stretching experience will take preference as well as a valid Matric is essential.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check the oil level on the stretcher head and tail.
• Check the start button for batch belts.
• Check the stop button if working properly.
• Check the condition of the thermotex on the cooling table.
• Check the condition of the belts.
• Check if the cross over arms is working properly.
• Check the tightness of the jaws.
• Check the stretcher movements.
• Check the opening and closing of the jaws.
• Read instructions on the lot ticket carefully.
• Ensure that the lot ticket and the die drawing correspond with the section on the cooling table to be stretched.
• Check the dimensions thoroughly before the section is stretched.
• Communicate with the press inspector where necessary.

Requirements:

• Matric certificate
• 2-3 years in aluminium stretching.
