JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our national automotive client is looking for an experienced Truck Workshop Foreman to join their world-class operation.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must come from motor industry (trucks highly advantageous)
Must have quality control
Must be pc literate with Excel
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.

Workshop Foreman Functions;
Support Workshop Manager, ensuring internal department relations are properly maintained

Motivate workshop staff through sound leadership

Give clear direction to all staff. Promote a sensio of wellbeing and apply the beief of "care and growth"

Apply strict mesure to the company's SHE policy at all times

Install a culture of safety first. Ensure safety meeting as met weekly including reports which are included as addendums to company policy.

Condition report to be kept of all special tools, equipment an workshop equipment

Report to Workshop Manger of defective load equipment, such as overhead canes, jacks and trestles and other lifting devices

Build sound relationshiops with parts staff

Build sound relationships with sublet suppliers

Ensure best practices are always applied. Proper housekeeping, in and around the facility

Be conscious of cost saving. Establish a culture of 'waste no-want not"

Keep staff well informed of change within the company

Share product infomration and make use of all electronic media and notice boards. Product bulletins etcetera.
