Job Description

My client is looking for a BEE candidate who will be responsible for the following:

• Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes to improve operational and financial performance
• Plan and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers and logistics providers
• Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times and transport costs
• Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement
• Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available
• Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency
• Resolve problems problems concerning transportation

Qualifications

• Matric
• Diploma in Logistics Management or Equivalent

Skills

• 5 years experience in the FMCG industry
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Project management skills
