Job Description

• Purchasing goods and services in-line with purchasing-policies and procedures
• Negotiate best prices, discounts and settlement discounts
• Select and source from suppliers in line with preferential procurement targets
• Evaluate complex quotations
• Maintain good business relations with suppliers to ensure best possible service
• Manage department expenditure within budget guidelines
• Liaise with suppliers in terms of the logistics of deliveries

Qualifications

• BComm Accounting/Finance or Equivalent
• Diploma in Purchasing

Skills

• 8 Years in Buying , 3 years should have been at Senior level
• Strong knowledge of applicable commercial legislation
• Strong negotiation skills
