SUMMARY:
TECHNICAL SALES CONSULTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities
• Servicing and expanding our existing customer base;
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through an excellent sales service;
• Clarify customer requirements;
• Achieving agreed sales targets;
• Processing of quotes, orders and invoices;
• Compiling and following up on outstanding quotations;
• Follow up on backorders;
• Initiating, planning and executing sales calls;
• Updating of customer details on the financial system;
• Handle COD payments;
• Assist with completion of tenders;
• Assist with audit preparation;
• Monthly / weekly reporting;
• Assist the Sales Manager on any other related functions as required;
• All and any other related tasks & duties as expected from the employer from time to time.
Requirements
• Grade 12;
• Tertiary qualification in the electrical/electronical field;
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential;
• Experience in dealing with and resolving problems with customers / suppliers;
• Knowledge of Power Semiconductors;
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
Skills
• Ability to be persuasive and sell in a consultative manner;
• Good communications and interpersonal skills;
• Proficient in writing and speaking English and Afrikaans;
• Ability to work in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook;
• Navision an advantage;
• Ability and inclination to learn other relevant software packages and applications;
• Well organized and attention to detail;
• Self-motivation, will to succeed, vast amounts of drive, enthusiasm and self-belief;
• The ability to work as part of the team and develop good working relationships at all levels
within the organization;
• Time management skills;
• Able to work without Supervision.
