Systems Implementer (IM Department)

An International Mining Company has 2x Contract Vacancies for Systems Implementer (IM Department) for 12 months.  The successful candidates must reside in Kathu.  Must be willing to travel.

This role assumes the overarching responsibility for supporting projects onsite to install software systems for our clients.

National Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Support business and colleagues in the implementation of technical systems, Software and hardware solutions
• Meeting with clients following the development of software packages to collect data and other information required to customize/configure software systems.
• Responsible for defining and executing the delivery and implementation plans
• Responsible for performing tests and troubleshoots final system setups
• Required to provide training and end-user support during and after the implementation process
• Educating clients on how to use developed software systems and system features
• Responsible for the set-up and installation of software and equipment including servers, work stations, networks etc
• Available for Onsite projects to work alongside Project Managers, business stakeholders and external vendors
• Communicating with clients throughout the deployment process to obtain feedback and approval
• Reporting back to project team clients’ individual needs and specification
• Ensuring that the project team is aware of key deliverables and project milestones

A System Implementer is responsible for performing usability tests on newly created software/programs to guarantee that clients/others who use the program will not become confused or encounter problems.

This entails designing and developing print and online help resources to accompany the software. It also involves engaging with clients to assess their needs and customize the system to suit them using information gathered from the interaction.

System implementers also respond to questions from clients to clarify any software-related issue that may impede the utilization of the product. Interfacing directly with customers to understand their needs and configure the software to meet them, and also educate them on how to use the installed program.
