SUMMARY:
The specific role will focus on implementing a Workshop Management System across the company. Being part of a team environment making sure that the project is a success and ensuring that the system and project creates a new culture.

The following qualifications, prior education and experience is considered necessary to support performance in this position

QUALIFICATIONS

Matric

Diploma or Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, logistics or IT

 

PRIOR EXPERIENCE

5 Years IT or systems management / Implementation experience

Workshop Management system experience

Stores and Stock Management experience

Basic user training

Basic IT/system fault identification reporting

KEY PERFORMANCE UNITS

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

1.1

Workshop Management System Implementation

 

  • Lead and manage the installation and setup of a Workshop Management System at various depots across Unitrans Africa
  • Liaise with our clients Africa depots on master data required and liaise with key stakeholders to upload data
  • Travel to our clients Africa’s sub-Saharan depots to implement system and train staff
  • Ensure project tasks are delivered within scope, budget and on time
  • Maintain and monitor project plans and time scales
  • Ensure project deadlines are met
  • Providing administrative support as needed
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members
  • Prepare timely and accurate implementation progress reports
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
  • Liaise with service providers on resolution of key issues identified

Training and Support

  • Provide end user training on the Workshop Management System for our clients Africa users across all levels
  • Provide end user support in the event of user issues experienced
  • Master the capabilities of the system and guide users on how to most effectively use the solution
