System Analyst

SUMMARY:
System Analyst (fixed term contract 3-5 years)

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.

Requirements

• 2 - 4 years of relevant technical work experience
• Experience in system analysis and requirements, IS & T projects, client interfacing, user testing and verification, system documentation and user training.

Duties

• Identifying and communicating business needs and translating business requirements into technical system requirements and functional specifications.
• Implementing computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems, designing and testing standards and solutions.
• Improving system by studying current practices, designing modifications.
• Reviewing test plans and monitoring testing processes to ensure that business results are adequately tested with minimal risk and interruptions.
• Working closely with IS & T collaborative teams and users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Defining application problem by conferring with clients, evaluating procedures and processes.
• Developing solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
• Controlling solution by establishing specifications and coordinating production with programmers.
• Supporting effort to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
• Validating results by testing the programmes.
• Ensuring system operationalisation by training client personnel and providing support.
• Reviewing and ensuring that system documentation is complete, accurate and compiled.
• Providing reference by writing system documentation.
• Accomplishing information systems and completing related results as needed.
• Monitoring projects by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions.
• Preparing technical reports by analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintaining user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
