System Administrator/Network Administrator

We are a Cape Town based,  dynamic and fast-paced ICT company offering a professional yet fun & vibrant working environment. We are looking to recruit a Systems Administrator who has the following skills:

The Systems Administrator will perform day-to-day support and maintenance of the company’s server, storage, backups, desktops, mobile environment. This include software and hardware installations and upgrades, security maintenance, patch management, troubleshooting and technical support for all users and projects of the company.

• Sage Pastel Account & Payroll

Requirements & Skills:

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
• Experience in managing a server, storage, networking environment for 200 users
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
• BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
• 3 to 5 year experience is preferred
