System Administrator

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced systems administrator who is eager to use and grow his or her technological skills. In this role, the successful individual will support and manage our critical systems to ensure the success of our overall IT strategy.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities
• Install and configure software and hardware
• Manage network servers and technology tools
• Set up accounts and workstations
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Respond to and resolve help desk requests

Requirements
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
• A+ and N+ Certified
• MCSA certification is advantageous
• Experience with O365
• Experience with MS Hyper-V and VMWare
• Knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues
• Ability to respond to support incidents after hours
• Experience networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management (Dell and Cisco)
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems)
• Data backup/recovery
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Microsoft and Linux)
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working with Active Directory

• Experience working with Group Policies
• Experience working with DNS
• Experience working with DHCP
• Sound Knowledge and experience working with Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 and 2016.
(Windows Server 2019 will be advantageous)
• Linux experience is advantageous.
• Experience working with Azure is advantageous.
• SQL and MySQL experience will be advantageous.
• End Point Security Management (Anti-virus)
• Strong Documentation skills

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• Relevant IT qualification
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a IT related environment
• 3 – 5 Years in a Corporate environment
