SysOps Engineer

SUMMARY:
We are currently looking for an experienced Linux Engineer who enjoys solving cool and challenging technical problems and working in a fast-paced highly technical environment. The successful candidate should also care a great deal about quality of your work, with a strong ability to troubleshoot and elegantly fix complex problems in a cool and calm manner, our client wants to hire you!

POSITION INFO:

Job Experience & Skills Required:

 

• Involvement in new and ongoing projects focusing on the maintenance and design of our security policies, networks, firewalls, applications and server deployments in both dedicated and virtualised environments
• Deploying and configuring new dedicated and virtualized servers, with a focus on automation and security best practices
• Liaising with 3^rdParty software vendors in troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance of cloud software
• Required to have a working knowledge of Azure, Docker as well as Kubernetes
• Install, configure and maintain CentOS 5/6/7 and RHEL 5/6/7
• Solid understanding of Linux server administration
• Solid understanding of VMware and virtualization technologies
• Understanding of WAN / LAN / SAN
• Working understanding of MySQL
• Solid understanding on TCP/IP networking in Linux environments
• Solid Scripting Experience (Perl, BASH)
• Understanding of source code control (Git, SVN)
• Working understanding of Puppet, Chef
