Synthetic Turf Sales & Product Champion

POSITION INFO:

OBJECTIVE / JOB OUTLINE

The incumbent would be responsible for meeting with Clients to discuss their Synthetic Turf needs, providing quotations and managing the installations of jobs to the desired specifications. 

This job also entails the sourcing and handling of new business opportunities.

4.    PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS

4.1   1 Full Time Employee

4.2    Permanent

4.3   Based in and around Jhb North (Sandton, Fourways, Midrand, Roodepoort)

4.4   Own transport

5.    QUALIFICATIONS

5.1  Matric (minimum) tertiary qualification will be advantageous.

5.2  Experience in sales and customer relations.

5.3  Flair for sales, marketing and building relationships

5.4  Experience in Synthetic Turf / Carpet Installations will be advantageous

5.5  Computer literate

5.6  Costing abilities

5.7   Presentation abilities

5.8   Code 08 drivers licence

5.9    Working knowledge / understanding of tools in the trade

6.     KEY RESULT AREAS

The incumbent will be expected to focus on the following :

Main Responsibilities

  • Meeting with clients to asses their synthetic turf needs
  • Providing clients with accurate quotations based on measurements and design
  • Ordering stock timeously
  • Arranging and managing installations

 Market Surveys

  • Conduct surveys          

Target Accounts

  • Ability to contact appropriate potential clients

 Cold Calling

  • In assigned area(s) .
  • Follow up on contracts noted        

Leads

  • Follow up and survey leads generated through various channels. 

Expenditure

  • Control direct expenses

Image

  • Promote company image
  • Company dresscode (Appropriate uniform)
  • Presentation of proposals
  • Follow up on existing clients
  • Check client satisfaction
  • Attend and co-ordinate Industry Exhibitions (ie Turf Days etc)
  • Reports
  • Submit weekly forward planner
  • Submit weekly activity report

Meetings

  • Attend weekly sales / operation meetings

Budgets

  • Achieve set budgets
