POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the role is:

Manage and execute compliant transport and other supply chain solutions for company products and other products within the business, from their sources to their final destinations.

CORE DELIVERABLES

1. Cost-effective and lowest risk supply chain solutions

• Interface with customers directly and manage delivery expectations accordingly.
• Arrange loading of products at source sites.
• Arrange transport through liaising with contracted and designated transporters.
• Arrange for deliveries of products to customer sites.
• Ensure support functions are maintained (sales orders, purchase orders, transfer orders, invoicing, recons, TMS, others)
• Support the business in ensuring that the supply chain costs are within the budgeted parameters.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain teams.
• Ensure the HSE aspects and impacts are managed, maintained, and where possible, improved on.
• Liaise with own and third party transporters, own and third party warehouses, and other relevant role players on all relevant business aspects.

2. Prevented / mitigated operational delivery risk

• Support a safe and conducive work environment in the delivery and execution of operational plans within the supply chain logistics function.
• Continuously support and work in improving the supply chain logistics service to the rest of the business.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant policies, legislation and underwritten codes of practice.
• Support all internal stakeholders in delivering and improving on the operational efficiency of the supply chain execution.
• Manage transport related risks.

3. Client and internal stakeholder satisfaction

• Deliver on OTIF targets through monitoring and improving on agreed targets. Work on developing and measuring these OTIF values, where needed.
• Be willing and able to assist the business outside normal working hours, as dictated by the operational nature of this role.
• Deliver a customer-focused service.
• Investigate and resolve client issues within agreed time frames.
• Maintain relationships with third party service providers.
