Supply Chain Analyst

SUMMARY:

Our client, a reputable fashion retailor is on the prowl for a skilled Supply Chain Analyst.

POSITION INFO:

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will:

• Manage the efficient spend of Forex raised
• Identify efficiencies around container management
• Monitoring of the delivery of stock into the DC while liaising with suppliers  , shipping department and forwarders
• Tracking shipping containers , updating shipping dates on shipping system , identifying concerns to the business
• Manage and present data in a professional manner that is understandable, accurate and relevant
• Provide feedback to business and be solution driven
• Analyse Supply Chain processes
• Analyse general retail business processes, for example inventory management and control, merchandise, flow of products via Distribution Centres, etc.
• Resource on Supply Chain Guru
• This role will assist with improving the PIS deliveries upstream addressing efficiencies around shipment dates, container deliveries and inventory flow.
• This role requires the monitoring of the delivery of stock into the DC while liaising with suppliers, stores and the DC regarding any stock or delivery issues. Working with the Planner and Buyer to fully implement the merchandise department''s strategy. Effective communication with ACS (Allports Cargo Shipping), offshore suppliers, DC, TFG Shipping department, LIMA (Integrated system to manage and process off shore orders).
• This role will assume the function of Supply Chain Logistics which includes following up on shipments, liaising with TFG Shipping Department, ACS, tracking shipping containers, updating shipping dates on LIMA.
• This function will assist in addressing the monthly PIS roll over and contribute towards more accurate PIS forecasting by week, thereby getting newness into stores faster.
• Have to have in depth knowledge of supply chain operations. Has to be problem solving and judgment skills, central based position and track and monitor and manage inbound orders, working across teams, work on own, solution driven.
• Lots of orders that come in from china & Mauritius, shipment delays impacted by port issues, source info, liaise with shipping counterparties within the company and ACS (forwarders), work with Forex and also come up with solutions.
