About this role

The Supervisor – New Business Officers will manage a team of New Business Officers who will contact consumers to offer assistance to improve their financial wellbeing by understanding what went wrong and to provide a possible solution and, where applicable, assist the Consumer to complete a Debt Review Application (Form 16).

Experience & Education

• Matric / Sales Diploma – preferable.
• 6-8 Years of proven experience to manage, motivate a winning sales team
• Passed the DC Exam or be willing to write the DC Exam.
• Understanding of all Credit Agreements, Certificates of Balance, Credit Bureau reports, budgeting and spending norms as well as repayment plans and proposals.
• Experience in negotiating and selling to consumers.
• Coaching or marketing qualification and/or experience.
• Ability to motivate and discipline team to reach targets.
• Clear criminal and credit records.
• Must display high energy and attitude to be able to lead by example and getting the sales team to operate accordingly.
• 8 years of proven experience to manage and motivate a winning sales team
• Working experience of the debt review process.
• Proven sales and team management experience.
• Any previous Banking experience would be beneficial

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing a large team of Sales staff and ensuring that approved standards, timeframes and targets are achieved.
• Daily motivating, coaching, training, disciplining and upskilling of staff on an ongoing basis to enable them to achieve their agreed upon targets within the timeframes allocated.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to improve the success rate.
• Manage, motivate and control the sales team to ensure that minimum sales targets are met on time.
• Manage quality and quantity of sales calls. Identify learning needs and use this to train sales staff.
• Assist sales staff to close deals.
• Manage quality of Debt Review Applications to improve successful take on as well as the retention of consumers within the first 90 days.
• Ongoing improvement of skills and knowledge levels to enable sales staff to impress consumers in terms of knowledge and service professionalism.
• Where applicable discipline sales staff and motivate improvement.
• Managing the various Maximus queues within the leads and sales process to ensure that all clients are contacted (at least 8 times) that follow ups are scheduled and to the satisfaction of the consumers.   
• Deal with any queries from consumers, New Business Officers, Debt Counsellors, PDA staff and management.
