Supervisor: Housekeeping

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

The Housekeeping department is now accepting applications for a Supervisor – someone with drive and passion for the industry and its people, and with the ability to maintain the Leading Hotel of the Worlds standards.
 
The position requires that the candidate has a minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent coupled with at least 2 years’ experience as a Room Attendant in a 4*/5* environment. Supervisory experience in a Rooms Division and clerical experience will be an added advantage. Computer literacy on MS Office Suite, Opera and SAP will be an advantage. 
 
Duties include, but are not limited to: 

• Compile task sheets for attendants and houseman;
• Compile daily status reports;
• Quality checking of rooms, stores and designated areas;
• Assist with stock takes and identify discrepancies;
• Assist with staff training and performance management;
• Monitor casual costs, usage of amenities and expenses.

Adverse working conditions:      

• Must be prepared to work weekends & Public holidays;
• Must be prepared to work shifts.
