Excellent Opportunity for a Pan Boiler, Sugar Processing industry, Durban North Operations KZN (R Market Related, NEG)

POSITION INFO:

Our Client, a well-established and highly prestigious South African Sugar Processing Giant is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Pan Boiler for their Manufacturing Department, based at their Durban North Mill.

MINIMUM KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

•  3 -5 Years’ experience in Pan Boiling.
•  Ability to embrace and implement the Continuous Improvement process.
•  Ability to work under pressure.
•  Be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
•  Ensure that the RAW house is kept safe, clean and tidy.
•  Good communication skills and pro-activeness.
• Minimum specifications / requirement areas
• Must be able to do calculations and read graphs.
•  NOSA Safety and ISO Quality Awareness and FSSC 22000.
•  Require a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a sugar manufacturing environment.
•  Required to work on shift basis.
• Should have completed the 2 year Trainee Pan Boiler Programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report into the Production Shift Foreman: Raw House –Back End.
• Operating/controlling batch and continuous vacuum pans for the recovery of sugar from syrup and molasses.
• Must be able to do calculations and read graphs.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Required to work on shift basis.
• NOSA Safety and ISO Quality Awareness and FSSC 22000.
• Good communication skills and pro-activeness.
• Ability to embrace and implement the Continuous Improvement process.
• Ensure that the RAW house is kept safe, clean and tidy.
