SUMMARY:
My client specialising in transportation and logistics within the pharmaceutical industry is looking for a new business sales consultant to join their team in Johannesburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will need to have experience within aa logistics and transport industry and knowledge of pharmaceutical clients and what the challenges are in terms of pharmaceutical goods such as temperature control and refrigeration etc. A proven sales track record will be an added advantage

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to prospect effectively
  • Ability to understand, answer and win RFP''s / Tenders
  • Manage pipeline to ensure conversion rate is applied to reach targets
  • Conduct and report minimum number of sales leads set
  • Responsible for securing new clients
  • Handle & overcome client objections
  • Comfortable with presenting to clients
  • System integration and understanding the process of system integration
  • E-Commerce knowledge to assist clients with queries and concerns
  • Master and understand market trends and seasonality in the market.
  • Proven success in your sales ability and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process
  • Be able to execute negotiations through prospecting, cold calling, quantifying and closing deals.
  • Ability to converse with all levels of a client (Strategic, Tactical & Operational)
  • Follow up on customer communications in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure weekly /monthly reports are up to date and submitted on time as required by business.

 

Matric

Valid Driver’s Licence

3-5 Years Sales experience within Logistics/transportation in the pharmaceutical industry

 

Requirements:

  • Grade 12, a degree/diploma/certificate relevant to the industry would be advantageous
  • Own vehicle essential

Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in transports and logistics focussing on the pharmaceutical industry (not negotiable)
  • Solid sales track record and a stable work history
