Strategic Creative Direction & Copywriting

SUMMARY:
Copywriter required to join a marketing company based in Kloof, focusing on digital media, brand marketing, advertising and design. Provide creative direction to the team, giving guidance in visual and written work. Spearhead a marketing strategy for clients, coming up with new content ideas and content plans for clients. Copywriting of long & short copy. Managing client SM accounts & engagement.

POSITION INFO:

• Brainstorming: Lead creative sessions and conduct content research in order to create new and exciting content
• Creative Direction: Ability to communicate your vision and work with designers and writers to ensure it comes to life
• Put together strategies for client content writing
• Short Copy: Social posts, print media copy
• Long Copy: 300 – 1000 word blog articles and newsletters, brochures, web content etc.
• Website SEO (training to be provided if you don’t have skills)
• Quality check all content
• Assist with project briefs
• Managing client social media accounts
• Managing social media scheduling, advertising and audiences (Back up if studio manager requires)
• Reporting & Monitoring (Back up if studio manager requires)
• Weekend engagement & check-ins when required

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years content writing experience
• Short and long copywriting
• Facebook Blueprint Certification
• Experience in Copywriting
• Excellent copywriting and proof reading skills
• Must be able to adapt style of writing to a number of different brands within different sectors
• Has an excellent command of the English language and can create short, witty content to in depth factual research
• Ability to research trends and apply to strategy
• Identify weaknesses in content strategy and advertising strategy and make adjustments accordingly.
• Excellent time management and self-management skills
