SUMMARY:

Stores Manager

Our client is a specialist in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Development with projects and offices nationwide, and they are seeking to appoint a seasoned Stores Manager for their branch in the Northern Suburbs.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in stores and stock management in a similar electrical material and equipment environment.



POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / National Senior Certificate.
  • Sage evolution experience.
  • Solid Financial understanding/knowledge.
  • Solid experience and proven track record.
  • Electrical material and equipment knowledge.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.

The following will be advantageous in your application:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification.
  • Fenya barcode system.
  • Fuel tracker experience.
  • Job-sys experience.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Personnel Management and Development.
  • Stock Control.
  • Plan and execute quarterly, annual, and interim stock takes.
  • Maintain storeroom integrity.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice store strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve store services.

Other responsibilities will include, but not limited to;

  • Be responsible for the management of all staff within your hierarchy. This includes staff performance, development, annual appraisals, and attendance.
  • Variance tracking and reporting (stock variances).
  • Stock controlling and reconciliations.
  • Oversee stock order process (identify available stock in store before ordering).
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained through inventory systems.
  • Oversee courier function.
  • Oversee receiving and delivery (checks should be done timeously and accurately).
  • Planning for peak season.
  • Oversee rigging and derigging services (support to Procurement).
  • Manage a safe working environment for staff and visitors.
  • Ensure Health and Safety legislation is followed ensuring risk assessments are completed in a timely manner and any faults reported promptly.
