Stores & Procurement Supervisor

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

PROCUREMENT DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Reporting directly to Financial Manager.
• All procurement duties.
• Sourcing of materials, their availability and negotiating best pricing.
• Processing of requisitions.
• Creation and issuing of purchase orders.
• Develop, lead and execute procurement strategies.
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
• Supplier management:
• Supplier evaluation and sourcing; continuous development of supplier list to compete with current suppliers.
• Supplier contract/SLA management.
• Utilising of BBBEE strategy with local procurement.
• Monthly reporting on purchasing figures.
• All the communication, negotiation, documentation related to purchasing.
• Administration related to buying function:
• Invoicing
• Handling all quotations
• Purchase orders
• GRNs

STORES DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Monitoring of stock levels/inventory control
• Monthly stock order forecasting
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks relating to stock
• Receiving and dispatch: manage timing and delivery of stock orders
• Continuous improvement; enhanced internal controls and procedures
• Management of Stores
• Monthly reporting
• Management of Current stock levels to ensure minimum stock is always carried
• Forecasted stock levels
• Variance reports
• ‘Per Cost Unit’ purchasing reports
• Cost savings initiatives
• Supplier performance
• Stock availability

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric with valid Driver Licence
• Relevant tertiary qualification i.e. Stock Control, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, etc.
• At least 5 years'' experience in a similar position
• Experience working on ERP system
• Experience working in the Mining Sector
