SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a dedicated Stock Controller/Storeman to manage inventory, coordinate deliveries, and ensure accurate stock levels. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of warehouse functions, ensuring that all goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently and accurately.
POSITION INFO:
- Servicing clients and ensuring complete client satisfaction on site in Nelspruit.
- Responsible for Parts Stocking and Sales.
- Responsible for assisting Regional Manager fulfilling his duties in relation to stocking and sales of parts.
- Liaise with all the company’s locations regarding stock levels, ordering, selling and stock taking.
- Supply quotation and pricing to customers.
- Liaise with customers and obtaining order numbers.
- Order, receive, collect and deliver stock.
- Responsible for stocks on shelves and ordering new stock as required.
- Establish a minimum and maximum stocking level.
- Keeping records of purchases, sales and requisitions.
- Additional parts sales outside of technician’s requirements, with regular travel between Piet Retief and Nelspruit to support customer needs and ensure efficient stock delivery. Targets to be given.
- Perform regular stock takes at all of the company sites - stock count, control and reconciliation.
- Store and label stock/parts in a logical, easily identifiable manner.
- Periodic stock takes of at least ten items on the shelf.
- Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage to assess the condition of each product or item.
- Source data on competitively priced local suppliers.
- Switchboard and reception duties.
- Administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying to management.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system.
- Assist in resolving any administrative problems.
- Run company’s errands to maintain office supplies for Nelspruit and to other sites as and when required.
- Answer calls from customers regarding their inquiries.
- Ensure that invoices are signed off.
- Perform driver duties when not busy with stock.
- Collect post and run errands and other company related tasks as and when identified.
- Hands-on administrative support experience.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook a must.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
