SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Storeman for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape



JOB DESCRIPTION:


Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
 
  • Grade 12 with 4+ years relevant stores management experience in engineering / industrial sector
  • Valid driver’s license as well as valid forklift license
  • Good English communication skills
  • Must have clear credit, criminal and contactable references
  • Computer literate
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Ensure stock items are correctly handled and binned
  • Ensure FIFO system is followed and improve efficiency in storage
  • Follow up orders progress
  • Report out of stock items and / or specials to be ordered
  • Liaise with sales regarding delivery dates / outstanding items
  • Draw stock of back orders
  • Clearing the picking slip printer regularly
  • Assist with daily customer services
  • Maintain high standard of discipline and urgency amongst staff
  • Machine repairs and dispatching to suppliers
  • Stock counts when required
  • Dispatching delivery vehicles timeously
  • Daily housekeeping and ensure PPE is worn
 
Salary:  R16 000.00 per month CTC
