Store operations manager

·         Manage the respective operations of the Fresh Area within the store

·         Daily operational running of the fresh department

·         Ensure maximum performance of floor operations

·         Achieving strategic objectives

·         Store performance and measurement – Budgets, Gross Profit, income, agreed expenses, profit budget, strategic participation, GP’s, Cash and Credit ratios, shrinkage, stock holding

·         Stock management – Ensure range of products (Retail and wholesale), stock rotation, merchandising, top lines, planned promotions, pricing, End stock plans, Hygiene standards, monitor returns

·         People Management – Ensure employee management and control, lead and motivate, Staff schedules, comply with basic conditions of employment, Limits of Authority, goal setting reviews, ensure compliance, training of staff, measure productivity, review staff requirements

·         Marketing – Growth of market share, Customer interaction, Community drives, promotions, advertising, promotion of specials, store marketing campaigns

·         Financial Management – Control all expenses, ensure department costs are maintained, store budgets

·         Budgeting, sales, Reports – Maintain daily sales budgets, auctioning instructions, manage daily, weekly, monthly set targets, monitor Customer buying, stock items control

·         Loss Control – ensure loss control, stock rotation, maintain shrinkage, hazard counts, managing staff control, service department stock takes

·         Stock takes – Perform stock takes, stock take and staff preparations, planning, ensure accuracy, budgeted costs, minimise stock losses, variance reports

·         Systems and procedures

·         Customer Service

·         Safety and Hygiene
