Store Controller

SUMMARY:
My client is looking for a Stores Controller to join their team

POSITION INFO:

• Organise the receipt, storage, collection and delivery of goods to customers or branches. 
• Overall responsibility for the most cost-effective distribution of goods
• Make sure that the right amount of goods is in the right place at the right time, so that the company can maximize sales and profits. 
• Responsibility for warehousing stock/inventory control 
• Courier pricing and bookings
• Efficient flow of stock is essential to the profitability of the company. You must constantly maintain and improve efficiency while minimizing costs. 
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Analyzing and interpreting data is a very important part of your role. 
• Allocate areas in the warehouse for the storage of stock items.  Keep all records about goods received and dispatched, record details of orders coming in and being sent out 
• Liaise with Johannesburg regarding stock and supplier deliveries
• Ensure an organized and professional packing of stock items in store.  Stock holding should be easily found and accurately booked in and transferred (sold) out
• Follow company procedures at all times
• Managing / Planning and ordering of consumables for store usage
• Liaise with and support Johannesburg regarding zero-, low-, and non stock items for pricing and buying when necessary for sales orders and quotations.

• Stock take:
• Manage the store
• Do spot checks throughout month and solve queries before month end
• Attend stock take at month end
• Bring queries and problems under management’s attention and solve
• Attend sales meetings and training sessions with the seriousness required
• Social Interaction
• Friendly and helpful at all times.
• Good communication and interaction with customers, suppliers and other staff, ask questions and if you can help.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
