SUMMARY:
Our client based in Rustenburg, North West is seeking driven and strong-willed Store Buyers that will excel in a fast-paced retail/FMCG environment and thrive under pressure.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric.
- Related degree would be advantageous.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role in a Retail/FMCG environment.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible to monitor stock levels and order stock as required.
- Develop an efficient and accurate system to monitor all open purchase orders.
- Management of stock returns and damages.
- Ensure that the Sales Representatives check the returns before concluding purchase order.
- Manage supplier claims i.e., gondola ends, advertising and price claims.
- Daily liaison with the Floor Manager or related Supervisor to ensure that the previous day’s floor-walk-points have been completed with regards to cleanliness, pricing, displays, condoler displays and POS material.
- Provide the correct Nett costs on items by ensuring rebates are correct and always updated.
- Ensure that the GP''s are checked the same day as the GRV.
- Ensure that store stock levels are maintained in line with minimum stock levels and above in line with sales forecasts to ensure that stock depletion does not occur.
- Scheduling of meetings with Sales Representatives to maintain relations with Suppliers and achieve maximum return on rebates and transactions with Suppliers.
- Negotiate sales deal with Suppliers.
- Ensure that all purchase orders are signed by the Supplier Representatives.
- Running successful promotions.
- Ensure that promotions are loaded on the system before the promotion starts.
