Our client, a fast paced equipment and machinery fabrication company, seeks to employ a well experienced and qualified candidate for their operation in Paarl, for a newly created position, due to expansion.
This is a very specific role and the candidate must have exceptional forward planning, costing and supply chain experience, within a high pressure environment. Although at management level, this role is hands on and will require high energy levels and the ability to work flexible and extended hours if needed. This is NOT suited to warehouse management or distribution sectors, it is a more complex role, with a strong costing and reporting background, as well as development of policies and procedures.
The key criteria and requirements to meet are as follows:

Matric with Maths or Accounting PLUS a tertiary qualification in Costing or Supply Chain, coupled with 5+ years experience in conceptualising, developing and implementing stock/supply chain policies and procedures, as identifying and correcting risk, variance reporting, BOM drafting, Stock level management and planning on an MRP system (SAP, QMuzik, SYSPRO).

You will have experience in import and export item/part procurement and procedures, follow up on stock in transit and work closely with procurement on parts and material adjustments and pricing.

You must have proven planning skills, be a problem solver, work well independently and be able to multi-task effectively.

Fluency in English and Afrikaans is essential, as well as being able to use Excel at advanced level, be a good communicator, both written and verbal and be goal/team orientated.
