SUMMARY:
Leading Retail Distributer seeks a highly influential and energetic National Recovery Manager responsible for growing the % recovery on stock not sellable on site.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B sales
  • 1-3 years field experience in operations
  • Working with buyers to identify opportunities in the market
  • Ability to grow a portfolio of buyers and identify opportunities in the market
  • Ability to think outside of the box to grow sales
  • Strong People management affinity
  • Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain / Business Administration
  • Strong Business acumen
  • History of commercial excellence (B2B sales ideally)
  • WMS systems proficiency (oracle etc.)
  • Reporting dashboards proficiency (Qlikview, Qliksense etc)
  • Understanding of Warehouse principles and management (5S, lean manufacturing, six sigma)
  • Experience in management of stock
  • Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude; self-motivated
  • Ability to manage teams across various sites

Duties:

  • Leads Recovery team in both DC’s (Johannesburg & Cape Town)
  • Recovery operational performance improvements
  • Growing the % recovery on stock not sellable on site
  • Commercial best practice in the area of distressed stock
  • Growing buyer base recovery stock
  • Understanding of sales and the impact thereof on business performance
  • Strategic reviews of departmental KPIs and SLAs 
  • Daily/weekly/monthly commercial reporting management 
  • Liaise with and work with 2 Distribution centres 
  • Responsible for processes and operations of 2 Recovery teams (CPT & JHB)
  • Optimizing all workflow activities within Recovery and Flow-through warehouse
  • Collaborate with line manager to identify staff training and development needs for improved performance 
  • Tracks employee progress and assists in analysing training program effectiveness
  • Assist in the coaching of staff towards meeting and exceeding performance expectations for quantity, quality, timeliness, and efficiency
  • Demonstrate, train and enforce Operational “Best Practices”
  • Assist supervisors and management staff with people development.
  • Identify areas that need the most improvement and report to supervisor for quality and performance enhancement
  • Assist with annual performance review
  • Train and support the understanding of operational KPI
  • Works on ad hoc projects and events.
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Collaborate with project and operations managers
