SUMMARY:
A reputable organisation, based in George, Western Cape, is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Stock Controller to join their operations team. This role is suited to a candidate with hands-on experience in stock management, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process accuracy and control.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor accurate stock records, including stock in/out, transfers, and returns.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full stock takes to ensure data integrity.
- Identify discrepancies and investigate variances, escalating where necessary.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and operations to manage stock levels effectively.
- Maintain system records and ensure that all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Support the implementation of stock control systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with reporting on stock performance, losses, and reorder needs.
Requirements:- National Diploma or higher in Logistics, Inventory Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a stock control or inventory-related role.
- Strong understanding of inventory processes and systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal departments.
- Computer literacy, particularly in Excel and inventory software.
