Sponsor Analyst

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Sponsor Analyst with sound knowledge of the JSE’s continuing obligations requirements.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements

• Completed Sponsor Development Programme and passed all exams
• Sound knowledge of the JSE’s continuing obligations requirements
• 2+ years’ experience in continuing obligations:
  • in the JSE’s continuing obligations department; or
  • at a sponsor entity;

particularly involved with:

• directors’ dealings; and
• financial reporting cycle (trading statement, provisional/preliminary, annual financial statements, annual/integrated reports, annual questionnaire, restatement and no change notifications, annual general meeting, interim results)
• Has a good working knowledge of the Stock Exchange News Service and Webstir systems
• Attention to detail
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Wants to focus on JSE and related regulatory issues within an organisation
• Willing to assist in other areas of the business based on capacity requirements
• Experience with mining companies and asset backed securities is a plus
  • The following are a plus or will be developed:
    • knowledge and understanding of corporate actions and transactions
    • presentation preparation and delivery skills
    • assistance with the companies JSE guidance annual booklet review and drafting
    • Confidence in liaising with the JSE, clients and other advisers.
