POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the job

To direct and coordinate the maintenance performance system activities that serve as a tool to ensure requirements of the maintenance work process is activated and monitored to a level that equipment performance standards is maintained, and legislation requirements is met in doing services timeously. Coordinate, develop and maintain the financial planning systems and reporting of cost. Systems development for maintenance reporting and measurement systems to assist department heads to control maintenance strategies.

Direct and guide maintenance planners, schedulers, and documenters to use maintenance system effectively and ensure data captured and storage as legislation requires is maintained. Act and assist operations as a resource in development of systems when required.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Senior Planning and Maintenance Management Systems

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as SAP PM super user or SAP PM Consultant (SAP PM Configuration experience)

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in shutdown planning

• High level MS Project experience

• Daily work planning and control (PDR), Weekly scheduling

• SMED based planning will be advantageous

• Proven experience in team management

• Database and interlinking of systems

• High level Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)

• Good experience in Business Intelligence (BI) for report and KPI development

Qualifications:

• Matric

• National Diploma: Mechanical Engineering (Advantageous)

Key performance area

Manage maintenance system function data

• To ensure maintenance process is utilized and updated at all times by entering data on the SAP system.

• To ensure statutory requirements or inspections is reported to responsible person according to standard work practices to monitor and give percentage outstanding to management on a monthly basis.

• To ensure that data captured is recorded in the SAP system to ensure legal requirements are met on a monthly basis.

• Data governance guidelines to be applied to ensure correctness of data in the SAP PM system

• Responsible for the shutdown planning function

Develop maintenance tools to measure effectiveness of departments

• To ensure that cost control system is functional, and that cost allocation is correct by liaising with the financial department on correct data and to do necessary transfers on a monthly basis.

• To ensure that the overtime, call outs measurement and efficiency report of workshops are maintained and presented to the Business Maintenance Manager on a monthly basis.

• To capture and summarize data on high-cost items in maintenance and production department on the SAP system in order to present data to senior management on a monthly basis.

Manage and coach maintenance work force on maintenance system

• To ensure that the maintenance system process is followed by ensuring regular meeting attendance on a daily basis.

• To ensure that the work processes are followed when any changes are made by coaching and making changes on system when required

• To ensure that the Documenter apply correct processes when capturing data and that documentation is archived in planning office on a weekly basis.

Coach Operations on effective use of maintenance systems

• To ensure operational staff using maintenance system is trained and that data input is correct when on a monthly basis.

Assist Operations management in development of operating systems

• To ensure On-going assistance in development of system requirements that forms an integral part between maintenance and various other departments. (e.g. Moody system, Chlorine filling data capturing new system development), by investigating the need and coming up with solutions when requested.

• To ensure that processes are maintained and that users are coached on new developed systems on an on-going basis.

Other details:

Salary: R480K annual basic (negotiable).

Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre.
