Learning Facilitator

POSITION INFO:

Specification    

Implement learning intervention

• Prepare lesson plan and presentation for learning intervention
• Prepare for the learning intervention as per facilitator checklist
• Facilitate the learning intervention according to lesson plan

 Assess learners

• Implement formative - and summative assessments
• Provide support to learners “Not yet competent”
• Provide assessment feedback to learners

 Manage learning processes

• Ensure that learning intervention records are completed i.e. attendance registers, facilitation report, competency judgement report, learner registration form
• Review and update intervention tools

 Design learning material

• Collate relevant course content
• Develop learning material as per set requirements
• Submit learning material to line manager for moderation and approval

 TCF

• Treat all learners fairly when designing learning material
• Ensure that all learners are treated fairly when they are trained and assessed

Formal Education

• Occupational Directed Education Training and Development Practitioner Qualification (ETDP) or equivalent
• Relevant FAIS Fit and Proper qualification e.g. B.Com

 Technical/Legal Certification

• Assessor scope with INSETA will be an advantage – this means the job incumbent must have industry experience and a relevant qualification e.g. Wealth
• Management NQF 5
• Certified Financial Planner as an added advantage
• Valid driver’s license

 Experience

• 2 years training and development
• 2 years in the insurance industry
• 1 year facilitation
