POSITION INFO:

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Internal Innovation
  • Create a culture of Innovation: Raise the profile of innovation through cross functional collaboration and the showcasing of innovation across The company
  • Share Innovation Knowledge – via The company Xponential (our internal innovation platform) keynote and thought leadership events, as well as practical innovation workshops and training
  • Enable internal Innovation:
    • Sourcing strategic business challenges from The company leadership
    • Facilitating and managing engagement on the mx platform
    • Managing the idea-to-concept development funnel
    • Deliver Innovation concepts:
      • Coordinate and facilitate cross divisional collaboration to develop market creation opportunities
      • Establish strategic partnerships:
        • Engage with organisations and businesses within the field of innovation to create strategic partnerships that will allow us to grow the innovation capability within The company

Education:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Relevant qualification: BSc Computer Science/ BSc (Industrial Engineering)/ B-Com (Information Systems/Business Management)/ B-Tech IT from a reputable university
• Relevant Project Management, Design Thinking and/or other Business Qualifications will be Advantageous

Experience, Knowledge And Skills Required:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management / Programme Management and/or Corporate Innovation
• Excellent leadership qualities required
• Experience working with complex (e.g. Business, Operations, IT, Regulatory, etc.) projects
• Strong ability to effectively work across different teams at all levels
• Strong ability to negotiate and influence at senior level
• Fantastic verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in business analysis and development including the ability to understand, develop and improve business models
• Experience in face to face and online meeting/workshop facilitation
• Tech-savvy and curious about new technology and tools
• Experience gained in a start-up environment will be an advantage
