Spares Buyer / Planner

SUMMARY:
My client is based on the West Rand and is looking for a Buyer / Planner for their spares department. Solid inventory and procurement knowledge with SAP and advanced Excel skills.

POSITION INFO:

Key requirements include:

• Relevant degree or National Diploma
• Forecasting and planning experience is essential
• Self starter
• Analytical and logical

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the spares inventory and keep accurate and updated records
• Respond to all spares enquiries
• Creation of items to list for new product launches
• Execute POs with shipping and suppliers
• Sourcing of local alternatives
• Track rates of sales as well as repairs to inform purchasing decisions
• Ensure optimal inventory levels to reduce backorders, improve service and reduce excess inventory
