Sourcing Specialist: Capex, Durban, R28k P/M, 5 Months Fixed Term Contract

SUMMARY:
Procurement Specialist wanted in Durban

POSITION INFO:

Our client is headquartered at Durban, an Operating Division of a large state-owned company. They urgently require the services of a Sourcing Specialist (Capex) for a temporary period of 5 months.

The employee will remain in the books of the agency.

Responsibilities:

• Run the tender process
• Administration of the process of awarding tenders including: signing-off letters of acceptance or regrets; distributing and communicating awards to terminals and Contract manager, to ensure compliance
• Compilation of bid documents using standard templates and obtain sign off from relevant DoA Leads the Cross Functional Evaluation Committee Presentation of recommendation of award to the acquisition Council
• Establish supplier contracts
• Conduct supplier commercial negotiations
• Maintain and administer contracts
• Provide commercial leadership to the procurement team and cross-functional teams
• Complete and issue a Contract Review Record and ensures that relevant issues from the review are fed back into the Contract and procurement process

Qualifications:

Minimum B Degree in Procurement / Purchasing/ Supply Chain / Logistics

Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience three of which must be in a large public organization such as Denel, Transnet or Eskom.

Remuneration:

R28 000 per month gross
