POSITION INFO:

Posiiton: Solar Engineer

Location: Roodepoort

Salary: Market related

Have been working in the Solar PV Industry for the last 2 years doing Design work on PV Projects. Are you a very successful designer looking for more challenging and exciting projects at a private company that focuses on domestic, commercial, industrial and energy storage projects. Are you the best among your peers you are ready to continue your career at this solar company and focus primarily on Design work.

Skills & Experience:

Attention to detail
Experience with drone mapping
Excellent communication skills (Written and verbal)
Experience conducting Site inspections and dealing with subcontractors
Must have experience dealing with clients
Proficient in helioscope, PVSol or PVsyst
Experience working in commercial, residential and Industrial.
Off-grid and storage systems.
MV technical knowledge beneficial
Reviewing tender documentation
Working on projects from 1kW to 1MW
Determining suitable system size/requirements using load profile and energy bills
Tariff analysis
Manage bill of materials
Trouble shooting electrical issues
Engineering design work on projects
End-to-end Project Management
Manage submissions with the team (local municipality, NERSA, Eskom)
Create and design technical drawings for project packs
Technical planning and compiling documents for projects

Qualification:

BSc / BEng / BTech Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
Valid drivers’ license
Post-graduate Qualifications would be beneficial.

Conditions of employment:

Must be legally entitled to work in South Africa
Office based position – Office located in Roodepoort
Must be willing to travel
