QA Engineer required for an incredibly cool company in Edinburgh.
Like the sentence above says - this company is incredibly cool, and comes under the ''tech for good'' sector. Right now they are building out their primary product which has just gone to market and have another product in research and development right now.
The company are building out their third Scrum team, so are looking for a third Tester to be a part of the team. Technical skills are important, but what is more important to the team is someone who is passionate, collaborative and communicative, and keen to champion the testing function.
Right now everyone is remote, but when the team were in the office, the QA team were sitting right next to the Developers, to make sure that the focus on quality was something the entire technical team were involved in. Quality is of utmost importance for the company and their products and something you will need to be relentless about ensuring!
The testing process is still being developed, so now is an ideal time to join to help create an end-to-end testing process that is automated where appropriate, with the right tools and procedures in place to allow stability and scale long term. Ideally, you will be a strong manual and automated Tester, with experience using C# to create the automated testing. You don''t need to be a pro (or create the automated frameworks from scratch!), as the Developers are on hand to help, but some knowledge of C# and automated testing is needed.
You will have most of the following skills/experience:
** Experience within an Agile Scrum environment
** Manual and automated testing experience (C#, Selenium, Gherkin)
** Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
** Ensure traceability of the testing carried out
** API testing, UI testing, performance testing, security testing
** Exposure to hardware devices and how that affects software testing would be a bonus!

The salary on offer is up to £40,000/£45,000 for the right person, but this would be dependent on experience. On top of that is a generous holiday package (7 weeks!) amongst other benefits (private health insurance, discounted gym membership).
Right now, everyone is working remotely, but long-term the team would be keen to have people back in their City Centre office (so easily accessible using public transport), particularly due to their focus on collaboration!
